Ads & PSAs
Food Bank For New York City works to raise awareness of food poverty in New York City every day. A single placement of our acclaimed print ads and public service announcements (PSAs) help the Food Bank reach millions of potential supporters. At the Food Bank, we’re able to do a lot with a little. That’s because
we can leverage donations, wholesale prices and our efficiency to really
make your dollar count Browse our current ad and PSA campaigns below or check our our past campaigns.
Broadcast and print quality versions of both the ad campaigns and public service announcements are available to the press. Please contact Carol Schneider, Associate Director of Media Relations, at 212.566.7855 ext 2231 for assistance.
$1 = 5 Meals
This holiday season, make your dollars count. For every dollar donated, the Food Bank helps provide 5 meals to our neighbors struggling to put food on the table. Think about it. That $2 newspaper can help fill 10 elderly New Yorkers' baskets with food for dinner. That $5 latte can fill 25 lunchboxes for kids in need. Even a $1 song download can put dinner on the table for a family of 5. This fall, look for our advertising campaign in New York City subways and get inspired to donate, advocate and volunteer.
Change One Thing
Swapping one soda for a glass of water. Trading a donut for an orange. Eating healthy doesn’t have to mean overhauling your diet or buying expensive “health food." It can start with just one healthy choice per day. That’s the message behind Change One Thing, the Food Bank's campaign aimed at food stamp–eligible New York City teenagers. Change One Thing is the social marketing component of CookShop, the Food Bank’s federally funded nutrition education program for low-income children, teens and adults.

What can $1 get you...
Watch Stanley Tucci, Emeril Lagasse, The Edge, Anthony Bourdain, Steve Buscemi and Salman Rushdie try to guess exactly what you can get for $1 in New York City. The answer? Not much - unless you're the Food Bank. Watch the public service announcement (PSA), "$1 = 5 meals" This PSA was created and produced by Stefan Forbes, of InterPositive Media.
