Be a loser for the Food Bank! For every pound New Yorkers pledge to lose, The Biggest Loser's Pound For Pound Challenge can donate 14 cents to the Food Bank! Pledge today to live a healthy lifestyle and fight hunger. You can also start your own Pound For Pound Virtual Food Drive here. By creating this VFD, you can ask family and friends to make monetary donations in support of your weight loss goals. Pledges accepted through June 30, 2010.

Invite your friends to dine out and help New Yorkers in need! On March 28, a selection of Time Out New York's favorite restaurants will come together for Time Out For Hunger — and donate 10 percent of a day's proceeds to the Food Bank For New York City. In 2009, Time Out For Hunger helped to raise more than 165,000 free meals for New Yorkers in need — mark your calendar for March 28 and help us do more in 2010! Join the Food Bank For New York City at our 2010 Can-Do Awards Dinner — honoring our partners in the fight to end hunger throughout the five boroughs, including Bank of America, ShopRite and more. Our largest fundraising event of the year, Can-Do is hosted by Co-Chairs Mario Batali and Susan Cahn, Emcee Stanley Tucci and Auctioneer Lydia Fenet of Christie's — and includes cocktails, dinner, auctions, raffles and a surprise musical performance. Stamp Out Hunger

Every spring, the National Association of Letter Carriers holds the nation's largest food drive — at post offices throughout the country. In 2008, Stamp Out Hunger helped raise 73 million pounds of food. Stay tuned to see how much we raised in 09!
Taste of the Nation

Eat, drink and help end childhood hunger! At Taste of the Nation, an annual tasting event to benefit hunger relief, guests sample dishes from New York City's top restaurants, a great selection of wine and cocktails created by NYC's most knowledgeable mixologists — all to benefit hunger relief. Shop to End Hunger joins retailers and manufacturers with affiliates of Feeding America in the fight to end hunger. During this annual campaign, you can purchase selected products at the supermarkets throughout the five boroughs to benefit hunger relief in New York City!

Fight hunger while on line — the grocery line, that is. During this annual, citywide hunger-relief campaign, grocery shoppers can make a donation to the Food Bank at the check-out of participating supermarkets throughout New York City.

During NYC Goes Orange — the Food Bank's citywide fund- and awareness-raising campaign held every holiday season — city landmarks, media partners, restaurants, supermarkets, your favorite shops and more show their support by "Going Orange," the color of hunger awareness.
